How to Learn Esperanto:

multilingual-polygot:

So here’s a list I found from this amazing website: www.learnesperanto.net

I’m at the fifth step and it’s worked wonderfully so far! In addition, any of the websites it gives you act as a reference! It’s very helpful if you’re the type of person who actually needs a plan to learn a language.

  1. Read the What is Esperanto page of this website. Including Benny Lewis’ blog postWhy should I learn Esperanto?
  2. Bookmark the FORVO Esperanto website; refer to it for pronunciation; and download the iPhone App if you have an iPhone.
  3. Complete the 5 free lessons for Esperanto grammar.
  4. Go through Lernu’s Learning Grammar pages.
  5. Download the free Kurso de Esperanto software and complete the 12 lessons
  6. Print and read the free 37-page (beginner) PDF e-book 13 Oktobro 1582 (direct link)
  7. Download Tajpi Esperanto Keyboard for your Windows Computer
  8. Download and use the Pronunciation Laboratory software (Instructions in:EnglishSpanish, and Portuguese)
  9. Download Anki for your laptop and/or smart phone and install the Esperanto vocabulary list.
  10. Go through the 10 free lesson course found here (or download the 42-page PDF version that I created for easier readability and print ability. I have separated the 20-page vocabulary list into a second PDF)
  11. Use lernu.net to find friends and language partners
  12. Search for people on LiveMocha who are also learning Esperanto. Send them a message, add them as a friend. You need a free account for this, by the way.
  13. Add Esperanto to your Twitter.
  14. Convert Facebook Language into Esperanto
  15. ‘Like’ Esperanto Facebook pages
  16. Convert Google Search into Esperanto
  17. Convert your Internet Browser into Esperanto
  18. Download free Esperanto books to your Kindle or Kindle Device from Amazon
  19. Read Esperanto blogs, such as Benny Lewis and others.
